Selena Gomez is on the road to be the next Britney Spears. After Miley Cyrus went to shits and Demi Lovato ate some shit, it's up to Selena Gomez to make the miracle happen again and give Disney their second Princess of Pop.
Fun fact, the song isn't officially titled "Rule the World", but, "Forget Forever" - There, I just ruined your dreams. And on top of that, since this was recorded so long ago, no honey, this isn't about Justin Biebaaaaa so I ain't even gon break down the lyrics like a delusional stan.
"Forget Forever" sees Selener dive directly to Top 40. If "Naturally" wasn't Top 40 enough and "Love You Like A Love Song" wasn't Top 40 enough, this definitelly screams it.
The production for "Forget Forever" is quite slick in my opinion. It's a little generic but seeing as how this song was recorded over six months ago, it makes sense. The production reminds me of "We Found Love" by RiYawnNaaaah and I mean that as a compliment. Just like "WFL", "FF" is as fierce and fabulous.
"Forget Forever" also has just as little lines as it has repetitive ones.
"Our love was made to rule the world,
Our love was made to rule the wooOoooOoooorld..."
I obviously am obsessed with this damn song. It's got everything you need for success. Stuttering, repetitive chorus and house / techno / electro beats. The only thing I would say is to obviously remaster it and add some fresh new synths here and there and you got yourself a hit Selener.
If I were to give this song a rating, it would be
11/10.
And I'm not even being biased for a second.
